Our Stamping and Forming Capabilities

We pride ourselves on producing stamped metal parts with complex geometries. We can manufacture metal stampings up to 0.25″ thick with tight dimensional tolerances of +/-0.0010″ and tolerances held to tight ranges of ± 0.0005″. With high-speed automated stamping equipment, an in-house tool room, we can handle your OEM stamping projects with guaranteed accuracy and repeatability. Your parts will be delivered on time and ready to go to meet your schedule.

In-House Tool Design and Fabrication

All of our dies and tools are designed and fabricated in-house using our state-of-the-art EDM and CNC machines. We manufacture our own carbide precision stamping dies for high accuracy, regardless of complexity. Custom tooling provides increased compatibility, reliability, and durability, providing a competitive advantage over traditional machining, die casting, or metal injection molding techniques.

Why Choose Us?

Xtmadeparts’ stamping capabilities provide cost-effective solutions for one-off prototypes, full-size models, and small-batch production. We are different from some contract manufacturing companies, most of whom are reluctant to provide low-volume metal fabrication and metal stamping services. Because they only focus on high-volume production and do not undertake small-volume production. At Xtmadeparts, we prefer small-volume prototype metal stamping and production parts. Our sheet metal group can start with 10 parts for prototype work and go up to 5,000 parts for production. From small startups to large multinational companies, we can meet your needs.
In addition, we have a dedicated quality department that oversees every step of the metal processing and manufacturing process. This ensures that we can provide high-quality products and customer satisfaction in every project. From metal stamping production to low-volume sheet metal stamping, we can provide metal stamping processing services that meet your needs. For each project, we communicate directly with each potential customer to ensure that we fully understand what needs to be done and interact with the customer from beginning to end.

What is Metal Stamping and How Does It Work?

Metal stamping is a simple yet versatile cold forming manufacturing method. In this process, a flat metal strip is fed into a stamping device through a tool or die. The tool is pressed into the metal material, using tremendous pressure to create a part with the desired shape or features.
It is carried out through a series of fixed steps, using specialized machinery and tools to transform a flat sheet of metal into a precise shape and design. First, the metal sheet is placed in the stamping machine, and the die and tool are ready to perform their functions. When the stamping machine is turned on, it applies a great deal of force, causing the die to cut, bend, punch or emboss the metal into a predetermined shape. The process can be completed in one stage or in multiple stages, depending on the complexity of the part being produced.
Each set of dies is carefully designed to ensure that the metal is formed accurately to the specified dimensions and tolerances. The ability to perform operations such as blanking, piercing, forming and stretching in rapid succession makes metal stamping very efficient in mass production. In addition, technological advances have increased precision, allowing components with complex features and tight tolerances to be manufactured. Post-stamping processes may include deburring, cleaning and finishing to further enhance the quality and functionality of the stamped part.

Advantages of Metal Stamping

  • Metal stamping is suitable for high-volume production, which can significantly reduce unit costs through economies of scale.
  • Achieve tight part tolerances and uniform quality.
  • Provide rapid production rates, ensuring fast turnaround times and improving manufacturing efficiency.
  • Cost savings, mainly in short-run production and/or prototypes.
  • Flexibility; rapid prototyping with the ability to quickly change designs without major tooling modifications.
